PHONICS SUPPORT
At Woodcote Primary School, we follow the Monster Phonics reading scheme. Here are some useful documents and websites that you can use to support your child in learning and applying their Phonics in both reading and writing. Each week, your child will learn how to read and spell words containing a new sound. In addition to this, they will be given a new Monster Phonics reading book to take home. Year 2 children can also take an additional book home of their choice. Each Monster Phonics book has a focus sound. This enables the children to practice reading words containing a new sound.
