Children will receive a range of homework pieces across each long term.  These will cover topics across the curriculum from art and cooking to maths and science.

All children will receive a minimum of 12 spellings a week to learn, based around the year 4 spelling objectives, and some of the words from the year 3 and 4 expected list.  They will be tested on these spellings at the end of the week. 

All children will be expected to read daily to or with an adult, and record their responses in their reading journals.  These will also contain questions that parents may ask their child about what they are reading to help with their understanding.  Any responses should be recorded in the journal and signed.
